6th Grade Family Day 5784

Sunday, April 28, 2024 20 Nisan 5784

9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Join your Sixth Grader for one of our favorite days - we will learn so much about everyone's Jewish heritage!

Each family should bring in a family heirloom and an accompanying story, which will be shared (by you!) with the whole 6th grade class. (You don't have to write down the story - you'll share your heirloom and tell the story together with your sixth grader). Families have brought a variety of things as their heirlooms – photos, Jewish ritual items, jewelry, and historical documents to name a few!

Grandparents are always welcome.

On this day, we will also have the honor to hear from Ralph Rehbock about his miraculous story of escaping Germany after KristallnachtEvery year, we invite someone to be our Holocaust Speaker – to share with us how that tragic event effected them and changed their family history. This is an opportunity for our preteens to hear about the Holocaust in an atmosphere geared towards them. Of all the things that we do at Am Shalom, this is one of the most important, and we consider it a great honor to be able to bring Mr. Rehbock to share his story with us.

Younger siblings are requested to stay in their own Religious School classes for the day!

We look forward to sharing this day with you!

Sorry, Registration has ended.
