TWO MINUTES OF TORAH

Here's Rabbi Steve's two minute take on the weekly Torah portion. Read more about B'midbar.

QUIT LOAFING AROUND!

It was so much fun last time that we decided to do it again! Stop by Am Shalom on Friday, May 22 from 9:30-11:30am for curbside, contactless challah pick up - the challah's on us, just pull up and pop your trunk. Challahs will be available on a first come, first served basis - while supplies last!

POP QUIZ

How well do you think you know 840 Vernon Avenue? Put your memory to the test with this photo quiz! Special shoutout to Natalie Holtzman and Doris Gould for being our top scorers so far - well done!!

TRIVIA NIGHT

We are excited to host a Virtual Trivia Night on Sunday, May 24 at 4:00pm. Round up some teammates (we recommend 6-12 people per team) or let us know you'd like to be placed on a team, and we'll match you up. This is a general trivia game, with a little American history sprinkled in to honor Memorial Day. Ready to sign up? Click here!

WHAT IS TORAH?

As we prepare for Shavuot, the Am Shalom staff asks, "is this Torah?" Check out the video!

CHICAGO FESTIVAL OF ISRAELI CINEMA

Am Shalom is proud to be a sponsor once again of the Chicago Festival of Israeli Cinema, streaming this year from May 17-26. Check out the full schedule

MASK AND FOOD DRIVE

We continue to collect unopened, unexpired non-perishable food for Lakeview Food Pantry and masks for Bethlehem Healing Temple. Donation bins can be found near the main temple entrance.
