100 years ago, the 19th amendment to the US Constitution was ratified guaranteeing women the right to vote. ZOOM in with Music at Am Shalom and our cantors for our final CONCERT at 7:00pm CDT featuring leading Jewish American female singer-songwriters, Beth Schafer & Naomi Less.

MITZVAH CAMP

Create some mitzvah moments this summer, and run a camp session with one of the refugee families Am Shalom has been sponsoring for the last three years.

QUIT LOAFING AROUND

Curbside challah pick up is back this Friday! Kick off your Shabbat by pulling into our circle drive between 9:30-11:30am for socially distant Shabbat greetings and a free challah (while supplies last).

Our next Virtual Game Night is Thursday, July 30 at 7:00pm. Players are welcome to come as a multi-household team, as a family, or to play solo!

RACIAL JUSTICE BOOK TALK

As we continue on the journey of equality and solidarity, we are pleased to participate in a book discussion in partnership with the Glencoe Clergy Association. We'll join together with the greater Glencoe community to discuss the book The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennet on Monday, August 24 at 7:00pm. Please save the date, Zoom details to come soon.

MASK AND FOOD DRIVE

Thank you for continuing to drop off food donations and masks - the need is as great as ever. Donation bins can be found near the main temple entrance. 

BOOK OF LIFE AND MEMORIAL PLAQUES

Last month, all members received information and instructions about Am Shalom’s Book of Life and Memorial Plaques, which offer two ways to honor and memorialize loved ones who are no longer with us. If you are interested in purchasing a memorial plaque or including loved ones in the Book of Life, please complete and return the materials by August 3, 2020.
