Apr8

The COVID Task Force met on Tuesday, April 6, and made the following changes to our parameters.

  • In person gatherings on our property,  inside or outside will have a maximum occupancy of 50 people regardless of age and vaccination status. Am Shalom staff are excluded from this number.
  • Up to ten unaccompanied minors may attend services provided minor guests remain masked and socially distant at all times. The minors will be seated in one section, physically distanced by every third seat and alternate rows.
  • Parents are permitted on the bima with students and additional participants will read their parts from the lectern on the floor of the sanctuary or as otherwise articulated by the Clergy in advance based upon specific criteria for grandparents.
  • The updated travel order provides for a third option when traveling from an Orange state described as an area with a significant degree of community wide spread of COVID-19. 1) 10-day quarantine 2) pre-arrival negative test result no longer than 72 hours prior to arrival 3) Be fully vaccinated, as defined by two weeks after the second dose of a dual dose vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccine as long as the person remains asymptomatic.
  • Am Shalom strongly encourages that all service participants who are eligible to, are fully vaccinated in advance of the event date.

The number of permitted in person attendees and all procedures are subject to change at any time, based on data and the recommendations of the Am Shalom COVID Medical Task Force.
