Watch Rabbi Steve's two minute take on Eikev. Read more about this week's Torah portion.

COME FARM WITH THE GLENCOE COMMUNITY GARDEN

The Glencoe Community Garden is a sustainable, organic-practicing, food producing mini-farm and compost collaborative, established in 2012 by Am Shalom as a service and educational project. Built and cared for by volunteers, the Garden’s mission is altruistic, educational, and exploratory. Volunteer summer harvest times are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30-9:00am and Saturdays 10:00am-12:00pm. No experience necessary, drop-ins welcome! For more info, visit www.glencoecommunitygarden.com.

NATURE WALK WITH RABBI STEVE

Save the date for the next hike through our Cook County Forest Preserves with a nature guide and Rabbi Steve! Join us on Wednesday, August 11 at 8:30am at Linne Woods. Click here for more information and to register.

TOT SHABBAT AT THE PARKS

Tot Shabbat is headed to Danny Cunniff Park in Highland Park (2700 Trail Way) next Friday, August 6 at 5:15pm. All families with young children are welcome to join us for prayer, music, stories and a treat from the ice cream truck! Registration required.

CALLING ALL READERS - THE LIBRARY IS OPEN!

The Am Shalom Library is back in business, with a fresh selection of new books to suit a variety of interests. Stop by any time the temple is open (Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:00pm) to browse and borrow. Just fill out the book card (found in the back of the book) and leave it on the desk to let our volunteers know what you've chosen. Happy reading!

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL

Please take a moment to renew your membership; you may renew online, or fill out and mail back/drop off the printed commitment form. We recognize that the pandemic has impacted our community in every way, and want to reiterate that no one will ever be denied membership because of an inability to meet the standard dues commitment. If your financial situation has changed, or if you would like to confirm a continued dues assistance plan for the coming year, please contact Zoe Sherman at 224.805.9400 or zoes@amshalom.com.

SHIR LaAHAVA: A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM CONCERT

Thanks to all who joined us in person and online for our annual midsummer concert! Catch the replay at your leisure on the Am Shalom Vimeo channel.
