HIGH HOLY DAYS BOXES: DELIVERY DRIVERS STILL NEEDED!
Volunteers are needed to deliver High Holy Days boxes to fellow congregants. These boxes will be integral to helping our congregants create their own sacred spaces wherever/however they choose to worship this High Holy Days season. For a complete list of shifts and to sign up, please click here - and thank you!
S'LICHOT
Jewish tradition teaches that the month of Elul is a time of soul-searching and reflection to prepare for the magnitude of the Days of Awe. During this time we observe S’lichot, penitential prayers said before and during the High Holy Days. Join us on Saturday, August 28 at 7:30pm for Multi-Access S'lichot Learning in the Courtyard, followed by the S'lichot Service in the Sanctuary. In-Person attendees must register in advance for this service; no ticket is required. Zoom into the S’lichot Learning in the Courtyard at amshalom.com/slichot-learning. The service will be livestreamed at amshalom.com/livestream and facebook.com/amshalomglencoe.
Rabbi Steve will lead a sunrise S'lichot meditation at Glencoe Beach on Sunday, August 29 at 6:00am. Please register in advance; no ticket is required.
9/11 MEMORIAL SERVICE
On this 20th anniversary of September 11, please join Am Shalom and Glencoe Public Safety at the flag pole on Lincoln Avenue on Saturday, September 11 at 7:46am to honor the heroes and remember the lives lost. All are welcome. Masks required.
