LIFE IS IN THE TRANSITIONS: MASTERING CHANGE AT ANY AGE

Our personal narratives help shape us. Each of us carries around an unspoken set of assumptions that dictate how we expect our lives will unfold. But when those assumptions don’t hold true, when our lives don’t take the linear paths we’ve envisioned and counted on, where does that leave us?

Galvanized by a personal crisis and family emergency, New York Times bestselling author of The Secrets of Happy Families and Council of Dads Bruce Feiler decided to find out why so many of us feel that our lives are being disrupted and upended. Life Is in the Transitions: Mastering Change in a Nonlinear Age is a pioneering study of the disruptions upending contemporary life and a bold guide for how to navigate life’s growing number of transitions with more meaning, balance, and joy.

Rabbi Steve will be in conversation with Mr. Feiler on Thursday, September 9 at 7:00pm. All are welcome. Please register online at www.bit.ly/FeilerFANWebinar

9/11 MEMORIAL SERVICE

On this 20th anniversary of September 11, please join Am Shalom and Glencoe Public Safety at the flag pole on Lincoln Avenue on Saturday, September 11 at 7:46am to honor the heroes and remember the lives lost. All are welcome. Masks required.

HIGH HOLY DAYS HQ

As we do every year, Am Shalom will collect non-perishable food and hygiene items for The ARK. Donations can be brought to the storage shed in our north parking lot beginning September 7.
