JEWISH MUSIC HERITAGE LEARNING SERIES

The Jewish Music Heritage Learning Series endeavors to study the ever-evolving modes of worship and musical expression within the Jewish prayer experience. As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Am Shalom, ZOOM in with our cantors and special guest lecturers as we take a look and listen back at the History of Chicagoland Jewish Music.

Join 36 congregations from all denominations in Judaism and stretching across the Chicago area for this live-from-Israel webinar featuring Rabbi Naamah Kelman, Dean of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, Jerusalem and Elan Ezrachi, PhD, Professor at University of Haifa. There are two opportunities to participate: Tuesday, October 26 at 10:30am or Wednesday, October 27 at 7:30pm.

GLENCOE COMMUNITY GARDEN PUMPKIN SMASH

Save the date! Compost your pumpkins at the GCG's free, family-friendly Pumpkin Smash event. Let's green our Halloween on Saturday, November 6th, from 10:00am-noon. The dumpster will be outside GCG's South Gate from 11/1-11/7 to collect your jack-o-lanterns for compost. The Glencoe Community Garden is located at 380 Old Green Bay Road.
