VOTING RIGHTS ADVOCACY

Last summer many Am Shalom volunteers met with staff members of Senators Durbin and Duckworth to urge them to work for passage of the Freedom to Vote Act and John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. Nationally more than 5,000 Reform Jews met with 47 Senate offices to urge them to pass these two federal bills that would protect the freedom to vote.

There are two new action items from the Religious Action Center:

  • Commit to take action by filling out this form.
  • Call Senators Durbin and Duckworth and the President during Nov. 8-11 using the Reform Movement’s call in tool. Make sure to fill out the form so your calls are counted!
