Allison Tombros Korman (she/her)
Founder & Executive Director
Red Tent Fund

From 2022 to 2023, Alli led the DC Abortion Fund (DCAF) as Senior Operations and Strategy Director, until her resignation in response to antisemitic conduct by staff and Board. Prior to joining DCAF, Alli served as founding Executive Director of Culture of Respect, a leading national initiative to end campus sexual violence. She has provided management, support, and technical assistance to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and served as the Associate Director of Education for the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals (ARHP).

Alli holds a Masters of Health Sciences (MHS) from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health and a B.A. from the University of Michigan in English and Women’s Studies. She also holds certificates in Restorative Justice Facilitation and Leadership from the University of San Diego and in Executive Facilitation from Georgetown University.

After the tragic events of October 7th, many abortion organizations refused to acknowledge the atrocities and sexual violence against Jews and made Jews feel that they had to pick between their Jewish identity and their support for reproductive rights. This false choice created a disconnect for many Jewish supporters of abortion funds. In November 2023, Alli resigned from her position with the DC Abortion Fund for these same reasons and she publicly shared her story in an article in Tablet magazine. The stories she heard from other Jews with similar experiences and the outpouring of support from the Jewish community was an indication that there needed to be a space where people could support abortion without fear or ostracization because of other beliefs they held unrelated to abortion. From there, the Red Tent Fund was created.

Founded in 2024, the Red Tent Fund is a nonprofit abortion fund rooted in the Jewish values and teachings that affirm the right to abortion. They fund abortions across the United States, with no restrictions based on religion, income eligibility, or gestational age.
