Every year, in conjunction with area congregations, Am Shalom coordinates a Thanksgiving meal for families in need at Bethlehem Healing Temple. Thanks to a wonderful group of dedicated volunteers, the meal will still take place this year as a carry-out!
Meal recipients also will receive warm winter gear, and this is where YOU come in!
Am Shalom is collecting men's winter accessories. Please shop our Amazon wish list, and select "Am Shalom's Gift Registry Address" as your shipping address, so the gear goes straight to Am Shalom.
All items must be received by Thursday, November 19.
Our friends at the Firehouse Community Arts Center of Chicago will deliver festive Thanksgiving dinners to 200 food-insecure households in North Lawndale. These dinners will serve about 1,200 people.
How many Thanksgiving dinners can our Am Shalom community contribute?
One meal = $15.

Am Shalom's annual Dreidel Tag gift drive looks a little different this year. We are still partnering with JCFS Chicago to continue the tradition of providing holiday gifts for their youth clients who receive counseling, foster care, respite and other essential support services.
To ensure everyone's safety, JCFS is collecting only e-gift cards this year.
You can still sign up to sponsor a child and shop online! All e-gift cards will be sent directly to JCFS.
