C.A.R.E. is Community Animal Rescue Effort, an all volunteer organization dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of domestic pets through public education and active involvement with unwanted and abandoned animals.

Orphans of the Storm® animal shelter is located in Riverwoods (Deerfield), in north suburban Illinois. Orphans takes in, cares for and finds good and loving adoptive homes for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs and cats each year.  They need donations of funds and have a wish list of needed items.  Unfortunately, to volunteer you must be 18.
