SoJust: Am Shalom's Social Justice Initiatives
Am Shalom has joined over 250 Reform congregations in North America by committing to the Brit Olam (Covenant with the World) of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism. The RAC has fought for social justice in America for more than 60 years.
We also partner with the Religious Action Center of Illinois (RAC-IL) and The Jewish Council on Urban Affairs (JCUA) to advocate for justice for immigrants, criminal justice reform, civic engagement, and other issues.
Our efforts are non-partisan. Rather we align with Jewish values. The Torah insists, “Justice, justice you shall pursue." (Deuteronomy 16:20).
