Zayla Carter

Zayla Carter joined Am Shalom as Technical Director in 2024 after working as an AV Technician for the fintech startup Stripe for two years. She has a passion for problem solving technical issues and learning about new gear.

Zayla graduated from East Carolina University with a M.M. in Clarinet Performance in 2022 and from Ball State University with a B.S. in Music Media Production and a B.M. in Clarinet Performance in 2019. While at ECU, she had an assistantship working in the School of Music’s recording studio where she got to live-stream and record concerts. She also taught clarinet lessons to undergraduate students. 

Outside of Am Shalom, Zayla enjoys spending time with friends, playing video games, going to concerts, and making music.
