Eric Perney (Bass) is a professional bassist and remote session player with more than twenty years of experience playing across genres, from jazz and classical to funk and indie rock, and now Jewish music. His recording experience includes work with Tom Waits, Joanna Newsom, and dozens of others, including the soundtracks to Shrek 2 and La Tigre e la Neve. Trained in classical and jazz bass at the University of Michigan, he also studied jazz composition and improvisation. Eric is happy to be the newest regular member of the Am Shalom music team.
